British action man JASON STATHAM is in training for a third THE TRANSPORTER film, in a bid to make sure he's fit and injury free when he starts shooting with French director LUC BESSON. The Snatch star admits the two previous car-chase films have taken a lot out of him and he's determined to make sure he's well-prepared for a third and final film. He says, "I'm preparing physically now. I'm on a very strict regime from six o'clock in the morning to mid-day every day. "I've had some injuries and now that they're all healed, I've got to put myself back in fighting position. "It's basically a lot of stretching and conditioning, so, when I do get involved with all the choreography, I can turn up on day four of the action sequences and still have energy."

Actor JASON STATHAM has shattered his hardman movie image - by confessing he'd lose to director GUY RITCHIE in a karate fight. The British screen star - who has worked with Ritchie on Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Revolver - regularly spars with his filmmaker pal, who dedicates hours of practice time to the martial art. And Statham admits the extra work Ritchie puts in would render him helpless were they to ever fight for real. He says, "Guy puts in more hours than me, so he's got the edge. He's a third dan Shotokan blackbelt. There was a time when we were evenly matched."

British action man JASON STATHAM is urging studio executives to consider him for the lead in a planned remake of THE CROW. Brandon Lee lost his life on the set of the 1994 cult film, when a prop gun was replaced with a real pistol for a shooting scene. But the movie's controversy hasn't put Snatch star Statham off revisiting the role of Eric Draven. He says, "There's talk of them redoing The Crow. That was a good movie. So, if that one comes my way, bang! "There's so many comic book movies out there and most of the time there's only a handful of people who can do them any justice. Hopefully, they'll come my way for one of them."

British tough guy JASON STATHAM has reportedly signed up to star in the remake of cult classic DEATH RACE 2000. Alien Vs Predator filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson will direct The Transporter star in the movie which, although not a sequel, will be called Death Race 3000. The 1975 hit Death Race 2000, about a lethal road race set in the future, starred David Carradine and a then-unknown Sylvester Stallone, reports website Moviehole.com.

I have to admit that The Italian Job wasn't that bad (check out my review), and it had some very enjoyable moments, mainly to do with Donald Sutherland.
With that, and let's face it the real reason of the box office success, it looks like we're set for sequel. According to Coming Soon, David Twohy (writer-director of The Chronicles of Riddick and Pitch Black as well as writer on The Fugitive and...ahem...Waterworld) is working on the screenplay as we speak.
"I came in to pitch my own heist picture called 'The Wrecking Crew,' something I planned to direct myself, " said Twohy, who has helmed Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick and whose sсriрt credits include The Fugitive and G.I. Jane.
Twohy said the studio liked his idea but suggested it would be best suited for the sequel. Twohy said yes, even though he was fully aware he would not be getting The Brazilian Job directing assignment for which helmer F. Gary Gray is returning.
Paramount is expecting the entire original cast to head to Rio de Janeiro for the sequel, and the studio is already being courted by automakers eager to exploit the resurgence that the original movie created for the Mini Cooper.
It's good news that the original Director is back, he brought some flair and originality to the movie. Am I the only one thinking about Brazilian jokes right now, and I don't mean the country.
Twohy is also working on a couple of other sсriрts, the most interesting appears to be The Break, which is a "humans escape from alien prison" movie. Cool!
